In this tutorial we are going to see how to turn a photo into an old monotone printing press effect. Ok let us go into the tutorial.

Step 1: Create a new document with white color background

Step 2: Open a picture like this and drag and drop it into the new document above the white color background.

Step 3: Goto -> Image Adjustments -> Brightness/Contrast and pull the contrast slider to the right extreme with the legacy option checked like this.

Step 4: Next goto the layers palette and change the blending mode of that layer into Luminosity and you will get something like this.
