Learn How to Design a Charming Collage Composition

Today we’re going to learn how to create a super creative collage effect, using a range of photo manipulation, blending and compositional techniques. You’ll learn how to correctly extract your images, layer up various effects to create a sense of depth and detail, and create a cool sketchy hand-drawn effect for your photos.

As always, this is the final image we’ll be creating:

Create A Scrapbook Alphabet

Introduction

In this Photoshop Text Effect you’ll learn to create cool Scrapbook style text that can be used as a stand alone word treatment or converted to individual reusable .png files with a transparent background.
READ THIS: If you haven’t already done the Text In Stitches tutorial and you want to add the stitches to your lettering like you see in the preview, I strongly recommend you take a spin through that lesson first. Be sure to download and install the Stitches brush set that’s included in that lesson so you’ve got it and are ready to go.

Text In Stitches Text In Stitches

Introduction

Over the years as a graphic designer I’ve accumulated a wealth of custom brushes, shapes and actions that I keep carefully organized and labeled for future use. The brush set I’ll be sharing with you today has been in my collection for probably five of six years and every once in a while I’ll find a good reason to load it into my brushes palette. If you’ve never done that before, don’t worry, I’ll walk you through it as we go.
If you’re playing along at home you should download the brush set before we get started.
